Saturday 12th December, Muay Thai Christmas Cracker, Johnstone Town Hall

Another sell out show in Johnstone Town Hall from the team at OB Muay Thai.
Fight Sport MC would like to say a big "well done" to all the kids who took part in the junior show during the day, the level of skill at such a young age is nothing short of inspiring.
The adult show kicked off (pardon the pun) at 7pm and the five hundred strong crowd enjoyed twelve explosive bouts culminating in the Scottish Heavyweight Title decider.
Fight Sport MC would like to congratulate Big Gary O'Brien on a becoming Scotland's champ by taking a unanimous points decision after five hard fought rounds. Congrats big guy!
As ever, big thanks to promoter John O'Brien for having Fight Sport MC to present your show and thanks also go to Stevie White, Jim Walton and Kirsty McIntosh whose hard work behind the scenes made the show run like clockwork.

Saturday 5th December, Muay Thai Legends, Fairfield Halls, Croydon.

Fight Sport MC was honoured to present the last ever 'Muay Thai Legends' event before promoter Dan Green diverts his full attention to the new and hugely exciting 'MSA Muay Thai Premier League'.
What an event it was too. The fabulous audience created an electric atmosphere as they enjoyed fourteen action packed contests including a Southern Area, two British and one World title bout.
Dougie would like to thank all of the officials and event staff who made the show so enjoyable and a special thank you goes to promoter Dan for his hospitality.
Fight Sport MC is looking forward to working together with Dan and MSA on many shows in the future.

Saturday 27th November, Power of Scotland 7, Lagoon Centre, Paisley

The fabulous Lagoon Centre in Paisley once again played host to Scotland's biggest and best Muay Thai promotion, Power of Scotland 7. The huge crowd were treated to fourteen action packed bouts featuring the finest in homegrown talent taking on the toughest foreign and domestic opponents.
Although this was the seventh instalment of the hugely popular 'POS' format, it was the first time Fight Sport MC was booked to present this prestigious show.
The event itself was superb and Dougie would like to thank promoter Gary O'Brien for the opportunity.
Fight Sport MC is already looking forward to POS8 which should hopefully return in early May 2010.

Friday 26th November, Gilvinbank Hotel, Glenrothes

A gentleman's evening of professional boxing, held in a small venue in Fife may not appear too exciting compared to Fight Sport MC's recent bookings. This was however, a hugely important night for Dougie who was absolutely delighted when he received the booking call from one of the UK's longest established and most respected boxing promoters, Mr Tommy Gilmour.
A sold out crowd of just under three hundred spectators, were treated to a fabulous meal before it was time to "bring on the action".
Thereafter, it was a visual feast as everyone enjoyed three exceptional bouts of professional boxing featuring some of the UK's rising stars.
Fight Sport MC hopes that this small but great event in Fife is just the beginning of a long working relationship with the St Andrews Sporting Club.

Saturday 14th November, Ayr, Scotland

After an eventful journey to Ayr's Citadel Centre for the biannual 'Martial Mayhem' Event, Fight Sport MC was delighted to find a stacked card and a sell out crowd of more than one thousand spectators who had braved the harsh Scottish weather to support this fantastic promotion.
Douglas would like to thank the everyone at WOSSOBAMA gym for their warm hospitality and for making him feel like part of the family.
As ever, this show delivered, great organisation, great fights and a GREAT audience.
Special mention to David Bowie, Stevie Brown and Carl Copestake on becoming British Champions.
Douglas is already looking forward to the next Martial Mayhem installment in Spring 2010.

Saturday 7th November, Reebok Stadium, Bolton

Douglas would like to thank everyone at 'MSA Ltd' for their hospitality at the inaugural 'Muay Thai Premier League' promotion.
This landmark event set a whole new standard for UK Muay Thai Promotions and Douglas was thrilled to be given the opportunity to present such a special show.
What a show it was too, the sold out crowd of almost two thousand spectators were treated to ten action packed bouts and witnessed the crowning of TWO new British Champions, one new European Champion and one new World Champion.
For those who were not lucky enough to attend this event, it will be broadcast on Sky Sports 1 and 2 in early December, keep an eye on the blog for broadcast dates.

Saturday 24 October, Aberdeen

Douglas would like to thank everyone at Aberdeen Muay Thai for their hospitality on Saturday night. This was Aberdeen MT's first promotion and Fight Sport MC's first job so far north. Over four hundred fight fans braved the harsh Scottish weather to come along and make it a truly memorable evening.

Douglas would like to give a special mention to Keith Middleton who not only organised the event but also headlined it... and won! Congratulations Keith and best of luck with the new baby (whenever it arrives)!

Announcement - 9 Oct 2009

Douglas is delighted to announce that he has just been confirmed to present Scotland's biggest Muay Thai promotion 'The Power Of Scotland' on November 28th. This biannual event, is again returning to the 'Lagoon Centre' in Paisley, near Glasgow and as always is sure to delight Scotland's fight fans.

Fight Sport MC is going from strenth to strength just now and November looks to be an exciting and busy month, starting with the inaugral MSA Muay Thai Super League, followed by Wossobama's Martial Mayhem and finally Power of Scotland.

December is shaping up to be a busy month too, keep an eye on the blog for more details.

Announcement - 2 Oct 2009

Douglas is delighted to announce that he has just been confirmed to present the biggest Thai Boxing event ever staged in the UK. This event will take place on November 7th this year and will be held within the fabulous Reebok Stadium in Bolton. A sold out capacity crowd of almost two thousand spectators is expected and the event is being filmed for broadcast by Sky Sports. Douglas would like to wish the very best of luck to the promoters 'MSA' and of course to all of the fighters taking part. Base Muay Thai Event, Grangemouth Sports Complex, 19 Sep 2009

Douglas would like to thank everyone at Base Muay Thai Promotions for having him return to present their show on Saturday. The show was a complete success and was the product of a lot of hard work. Once again a huge thank you to the promoters (Bobby & Eileen), the fighters, sponsors, officials, medics and of course all the spectators who once again made the event so incredibly special. An extra special thank you goes to DJ David of 'Cheeky Seven Entertainment', you guys are the best DJs in the fight game and it's always a relief to arrive at a venue and see that you guys are there.

For the Glory of - Liverpool, 12 Sep 2009

Douglas would like to thank everyone at Sapphire Gym, Liverpool and 'For The Glory Of' promotions for their hospitality at the weekend. The show was a complete success and an absolute pleasure to present. Douglas was especially delighted to introduce to the ring three time world champion Liam 'The Hitman' Harrison. A superb show which saw eleven bouts, two international bouts and two new champions. Congratulations to everyone involved and a big thank you to the spectatators who made it the memorable event that it was.

New Breed Show, Johnstone Town Hall, 29 Aug 2009

Once again it was a pleasure for Douglas to return to the New Breed stage and present for the fourth time, the rising stars of Muay Thai. The rapid progression in the quality of fights and fighters is nothing short of inspiring. It was an extra treat for Douglas to introduce the two main events featuring two of Scotland best A Class fighters (John Douglas & Paul Kelly) take on international opponents. Finally a big thank you to all the fans for a truly great atmosphere and congratulations to the lucky bidder who won the signed shorts and helped to raise a few hundred pounds for K4C cancer research.
